The food and service was good and fairly cheap. For $14 each my boyfriend and I got the combination dinner, which includes your choice of soup, an egg roll, fried rice, a crab angel, and your choice of 16 different entrees. The food was hot and seemed fresh. My vegetables in my sweet and sour chicken were not cooked however. The crab angel was decent but a bit chewy and more cheddar tasting. The service was fairly good but it took forever to get the check and boxes. They also charged around $4 for a soda. Overall, pretty good for your money but nothing to write home about.

Amazing experience we're from Orlando Florida Where you can get Chinese food Is anywhere you want. was trying to find the perfect spot for my wife to me for some authentic Chinese food and my God Golden Phoenix thank God you are there. My wife is Originally from China and she says it's exactly like you're back home in China. You will never go hungry on how Much food you get with such a low price. A lot of the food there should've been priced at $20 or little bit more but I love that's so much can't wait to go back and have some more. I know our 1st stop when we come back to rapid we'll be the golden Phoenix.

We put off trying Chinese in Rapid City because of the bad reviews. But finally in the area and it was lunch and we were hungry. Walked in the restaurant was very nice and full of people! So I was excited and it's been so long since having some good Chinese. Fried rice is bland. Mongolian beef small portion over sweet and bad quality meat. Orange chicken in dark sauce and not good flavor, no orange zest or any quality ingredients. The egg rolls a bad flavor. Even the Cheese Rangoon were stale and hard. How this restaurant is full don't understand. Super disappointing.

The food wasn't that great, 3 stars at best. I had never seen a wonton soup with dark broth and ham before. The 3 delights dish I ordered had a very strong bamboo shot taste I didn't like. The hot and sour soup just tasted only of black pepper. The Mongolian beef and the egg rolls were good. The lady that served us was very nice and did a great job and the restaurant was clean so they get and extra star for that.

Let me start by saying I have never left a review. This was outlandish enough for me to leave one. My family and I have eaten here since I was a child. Unfortunately this is the last time I will dine here again. Our waitress was horribly rude. She sat us and impatiently asked we move our menus to the side so she could dress the table because she didn’t have time. Ask we hurry with our orders. Our refills were not full. Took our cards then came back and said she HERSELF would put 15% tip on our card. Then went over our amounts again and again asking for a tip. We were going to leave cash on the table as cash is usually the preferred tip. She then followed us out to the parking lot asking for $5? Never have experienced this in my life. We will be watching our statements to see if there was added money. I wish I could give 0 stars. Food was great though.

Absolutely amazing food and the best service around!!!! If you walk away hungry, it's your own fault!! Hot and Sour soup is the best we've had!! Ask for some plum sauce for the crab angles and egg rolls!!! Cynthia and her crew are AWESOME!!!!

The Sesame Shrimp was delicious.. the best part being the very tasty sauce and there was plenty of it! The Hot n Sour soup has definitely improved, it could still use just a tad bit more vinegar but that's my own personal preference and it's Very good just as is.. The Crab Angles are very cheddar(y).. I mean they're good.. could probably be a little more crabby or cream cheesy 🤔 but they're still good! Overall everything was good 👍

After being a loyal customer for many years when Jerry and then his family owned this restaurant, I'm so sorry to say the newer ownership has dropped the ball. Not only have they changed and skimped on the recipes (while they deny it), they've been plain flat-out rude to me in-house and on the phone. Their online menu is very old and features out-of-date low prices that are dishonest, but they refuse to update it after I've asked many times about it. Sad to say there's not a great Chinese place in Rapid any more.
